Getting unstuck: How to get super glue out of your hair

So, you were making a repair and you got some super glue in your hair? Put the scissors down and check out these steps instead.

  1. If you only have a small patch of super glue in your hair close to your scalp or hairline, simply apply some Loctite Glue Remover to the affected area and cover with a cotton pad. Alternatively, you can soak a cotton pad in acetone, or nail varnish remover, and press this pad onto the super glue. Wait for the glue remover or acetone to soften the glue and remove the pad and glue gently.
  2. If you have small patches of glue in the tips of your hair, do the same but this time use a cotton bud instead of a cotton pad. Soak the cotton bud in glue remover or nail varnish remover and run it along the affected strands of hair.
  3. Wash your hair thoroughly with shampoo and conditioner. You need to use conditioner because any leftover glue remover or nail varnish remover can dry out your scalp and hair.
