How to use all-purpose glue
To get the best results with multi-purpose adhesive, follow these simple steps. Remember to take the usual safety precautions, like wearing gloves to protect your skin and working in a well-ventilated room.
- Prepare the surfaces. The surfaces of the materials you want to bond should be completely clean and dry. Lightly sanding smooth or glossy surfaces can help to improve adhesion. If you’re working with two non-porous surfaces, try dampening them for better bonding.
- Pre-fit materials. Make sure everything is perfectly aligned before you start gluing.

- Clean. Remove any excess glue quickly before it dries using a cotton bud or cloth soaked in acetone. Dried glue can be scraped off with a hard edge, and then removed with acetone if necessary.
