How to get super glue off glass in three simple steps
Removing super glue from glass is surprisingly easy. Here’s how to do it:
- Apply Acetone. Acetone is a common ingredient in nail polish remover and is very effective for removing super glue from glass and other materials. Apply the acetone to the glue using a soft cloth.
- Leave it to soak. The glue should gradually become looser.
- Remove the super glue. Use your fingernail or a razor blade to gently scrape away the glue. Apply more acetone if necessary, and don’t force the glue. Once the glue has been removed, clean the glass with a cloth.
Acetone is an ingredient in most brands of nail polish remover, and in some household cleaning products. Check the product label to be sure!
