Materials for Easter basket crafts

Easter basket arts and crafts are a great way to make your Easter celebrations more creative. A hand-decorated Easter basket will add a personal touch to Easter egg hunts. Best of all, if made with the right materials, your basket can be used year after year.

Here are the main materials you’ll need to make a bunny basket:

  • A basket with handles
  • White and pink sheets of felt
  • Pipe cleaner
  • Cotton balls
  • Black felt or stick-on googly eyes
  • A precise super glue like Loctite Super Glue Perfect Pen
  • Scissors
  • Pencil

You can also add some extra decorative details with materials such as ribbon, paint and glitter.

For Easter basket crafts that you can re-use, we recommend using super glue. Loctite Super Glue Perfect Pen is precise, easy to use, and extremely resistant.

How to make your own Easter basket

Once you’ve gathered your materials, here’s how to make your own Easter basket, step by step:

  1. Cut the felt. Trace the shapes in pencil first, then cut out the ears, nose, eyes and feet.
  2. Make the ears. Use a small dab of super glue to attach the pink inner ear to the white ear. Leave to dry.
  3. Arrange the parts. Make sure you’re happy with the placement.
  4. Glue the parts into place. Glue the ears to the inner rim of the basket so they stick up. Then glue two cotton balls to the front of the basket to make cheeks, then the pink felt nose and pipe cleaner whiskers. Finally, glue the feet to the bottom of the basket, and the cotton ball tail to the back.
  5. Add some more decoration. Now wrap some ribbon around the handle, or add any other extra decoration.
  6. Wait for the glue to dry. Check manufacturer’s instructions, and wait until the glue is fully dry before using the basket.
